GreenSeat
GreenSeat came about more than 10 years ago and is based on the conviction that the climate was changing, and that flying was a major contributor to that change. Elsewhere in the world, offsetting the emissions from air travel through innovative climate projects is becoming increasingly common. GreenSeat has already ‘greened’ more than 120,000 seats on various aircrafts across the world, and is now well known for allowing consumers and travellers to fly without environmental impact.
GreenSeat by Climate Neutral Group
By purchasing a GreenSeat you fly climate neutral, which means that all greenhouse gases, soot and condensation trails are offset. Flying can be major contributor to an organization’s footprint and GreenSeat includes all the greenhouse gases associated with the flights in the calculation of the emissions. Business travellers have been greening their seats for years, as a part of the carbon footprint offset initiatives of their organizations. Offsetting of all emissions (such as those from energy, natural gas and other fuels) can result in the organization becoming climate neutral. It is also possible to only offset the air travel component, either directly through Climate Neutral Group or via selected business travel agents. Flying on a GreenSeat is fast becoming the norm.
Flying on a GreenSeat, it is possible…
The most recent report from the IPCC (UN climate change research), points out that our climate is changing, and that our behaviour is directly responsible for these changes. Air transport continues to
increase, as do the associated impacts, and whilst technology and other interventions (such as biofuels) are starting to play a role, it will be a long time before they make a real difference. This means that if we
want to preserve our world for future generations we need to be flying on green seats. Read more in our blog – It’s the Traveller’s Turn
